Mike (vocals, guitar, the organiser) and Tim (cajon, harmonica). Premium party duo. Huge setlist. No breaks. Built for NZ weddings.
As the lead singer of the Pat For President acoustic duo, Mike brings a unique blend of Welsh charm and musical prowess to every performance.
His guitar skills are so impressive that they’ve been known to make other musicians question their life choices. Legend has it that he once strummed a chord so perfectly that it caused a nearby flock of sheep to break into synchronized dance.
His vocal range is so vast that he can hit notes that only dogs can hear, Rumour has it that he once made an entire pub erupt in laughter with a single pun, causing pints of beer to be spilled in the process.
Despite regularly being the most talented person in any given room, Mike remains humble and down-to-earth. He regularly takes credit for others jokes and will always make sure he gets the first feed.
Introducing Timo “The Cajon” Stanton, the rhythmic genius behind the beats of the Pat For President acoustic duo.
When Timo takes his place behind the Cajon, it’s like watching a mad scientist at work. Armed with nothing but a pair of kitchen spatulas, he transforms the humble wooden box into a percussive powerhouse. His hands move with lightning speed, creating rhythms that would make a wolverine Purr.
His rendition of Darude’s “Sandstorm” on the harmonica is nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s like witnessing a hurricane of musical talent, with Timo at the eye of the storm.
Tim is a devout Aucklander and you can regularly see him at Eden Park screaming “Go the Blues”
